। ॥ ११ ॥
In plain words
At one time the sage is established in sattva, at another active through rajas, at another touched by tamas, and at another entirely beyond all three guṇas. Sometimes he appears as a saṃsārī — a worldly person; sometimes he walks the path of śruti. Yet the sage, whose darkness the Guru's dīkṣā has destroyed, does not fall into vyāmoha.
Close to the Sanskrit
Sometimes abiding in sattva, elsewhere moving in a rājasic mode, elsewhere in a tāmasic mode, at times free from the three guṇas altogether; sometimes appearing as a saṃsārī, sometimes moving on the path of śruti—wonderfully, the sage whose darkness has been destroyed by the Guru's dīkṣā does not fall into vyāmoha.
