असूनायम्यादौ यमनियममुख्यैः सुकरणैर्निरुद्ध्येदं चित्तं हृदि विलयमानीय सकलम् ।यमीड्यं पश्यन्ति प्रवरमतयो मायिनमसौशरण्यो लोकेशो मम भवतु कृष्णोऽक्षिविषयः ॥

First they draw in the breath, using the instruments that work — yama, niyama, and the rest — then hold this mind still and let the whole of it dissolve in the heart. And what the finest minds see there is the adorable one, the wielder of māyā. May that Kṛṣṇa, the refuge, the lord of the worlds, come within reach of my own eyes.

Having first restrained the vital breaths by excellent means of which yama and niyama are the foremost, having checked this mind and led the whole of it to dissolution in the heart, whom those of foremost intellect behold as the adorable one, the wielder of māyā — may that Kṛṣṇa, the refuge, the lord of the worlds, become the object of my eyes.
