शोधिततत्त्वंपदार्थसामरस्यात्मकं यस्याः सा तथा ॥ॐ एकानेकाक्षराकृतये नमः ॥एतत्तदित्यनिर्देश्या ।एतत् एतत्कालेऽपि इयत्तापरिच्छेदवद्वस्तु तत् परोक्षमनिश्चितस्वरूपम् ।एतच्च तच्च एतत्तत् ।इतिकारः इत्थंभावे तृतीयार्थे ।तथा च एतत्त्वतत्त्वाभ्यामित्यर्थः ।एतत्तदित्यनेन निर्देष्टुं निर्वक्तुं योग्या निर्देश्या सा न भवतीति अनिर्देश्या ।लोके सविशेषो हि पदार्थः परोक्षत्वापरोक्षत्वादिधर्मविशेषेण तद्गतेन निर्वक्तुं शक्यः शब्दप्रवृत्तिनिमित्तजातिगुणक्रियाषष्ठ्यर्थानां यत्र सबन्धो नास्ति, 'अशब्दमस्पर्शमरूपमव्ययम्', 'निर्गुणं निष्कलम्' इत्यादिश्रुत्या, तादृग्वस्तु केन करणेन केन वा वचनेन निर्देष्टुं शक्यम् ।'यद्वाचानभ्युदितम्' इति श्रुतेः ।अतः एतत्तदित्यनिर्देश्या वाङ्मनसातीतेत्यर्थः ।अथवा, एतत् प्रत्यक्षादिप्रमाणसिद्धं कार्यं पश्चाद्भावि ।तत् परोक्षत्वादिविशिष्टं पूर्वकालसबन्धि व्यवहित कारणमुच्यते ।इतिशब्द उभयत्र संबन्धनीयः ।कार्यमिति कारणमित्यपि शुद्धचैतन्यरूपा अनिर्देश्या, कार्यत्वकारणत्वघटकोपाधिविरहितत्वेन कार्यकारणभावाभावे तद्वाचकशब्दैर्विषयीकर्तुमशक्यत्वात् ।अथवा, एतत् अपरोक्षतया अहमिति प्रती-

She is the very harmony of the refined truth of those two words. Salutations to her who is the single and manifold syllable. She is 'Anirdeśyā'—indescribable by the phrase 'this and that'—because 'this' refers to the measurable object of the present, and 'that' to the hidden, ungrasped reality. True consciousness stands untouched by the dual limitations of cause and effect, forever beyond the reach of spoken words.

That Goddess whose nature is the harmony of the refined realities of the 'tat' and 'tvam' terms is thus described. ॐ Salutations to her whose form is the one and many syllables. Etattadityanirdeśyā means she who cannot be pointed out by the expression 'etat-tat', because 'etat' denotes a measurable object in the present moment, while 'tat' denotes an imperceptible and undetermined entity. Alternatively, 'etat' is the manifest effect established by perception, while 'tat' is the remote and hidden cause. Pure consciousness, being free from the limiting adjuncts of effect-hood and cause-hood, cannot be made an object by words.
