In plain words
Crown on your head, armlets on your arms, jewels swinging at your ears; bow in one hand, arrow in the other. A long necklace catches the light as it falls across your breast, over the paired curve of the cakravāka birds. Anklets chime at your feet, and gem-bright sandals shine on those lotus-feet. My poverty is a snake that has me in its coils — and you are the Garuḍa. Protect me, Mīnāmbikā.
Close to the Sanskrit
O you who wear crown, armlets and jewelled earrings; O you graced with bow and arrow; O you graced with a long necklace shining above the pair of breasts shaped like koka birds; O you adorned with jingling anklets and gem-bright, radiant sandals upon your lotus-feet; O Garuḍa-bird to the serpent that is my poverty — protect me, O Mīnāmbikā.
