The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Mohamudgaraḥ

Verse 9

In plain words

Stay close to what is real, and your grip loosens. Loosen the grip, and the delusion lifts. With the delusion gone, nothing shakes you. And when nothing shakes you — that is mukti, here, in this body, still breathing.

Close to the Sanskrit

In keeping company with the real, non-attachment; in non-attachment, freedom from delusion; in freedom from delusion, unshakenness; in unshakenness, liberation while still living.
