Verse 32

In plain words

Who is the man not to be pitied in this world? The one whose wife rules him despite his steady wealth. And who is truly pitiable here? The one who sits upon wealth yet refuses to give.

Close to the Sanskrit

By whom is a person not to be lamented, who has a submissive wife and steadfast wealth? In this world who is pitiable, even though wealth exists, who is not a giver?
