। ॥ ४८ ॥
In plain words
When forms are seen, look for the cause of that seeing and you find nothing but the eye. It is the same with what lies beyond all sight: nothing but the Veda makes it known.
Close to the Sanskrit
In the beholding of forms, no cause other than the eye is seen; likewise, in the cognition of the unseen, no revealing cause other than the Veda — as the Veda is — exists.
