Taittirīyopaniṣadbhāṣyam

Verse 1

ॐ शं नो मित्रः शं वरुणः ।शं नो भवत्वर्यमा ।शं न इन्द्रो बृहस्पतिः ।शं नो विष्णुरुरुक्रमः ।नमो ब्रह्मणे ।नमस्ते वायो ।त्वमेव प्रत्यक्षं ब्रह्मासि ।त्वामेव प्रत्यक्षं ब्रह्म वदिष्यामि ।ऋतं वदिष्यामि ।सत्यं वदिष्यामि ।तन्मामवतु ।तद्वक्तारमवतु ।अवतु माम् ।अवतु वक्तारम् ॥ॐ शान्तिः' शान्तिः' शान्तिः' ॥ १ ॥

In plain words

Om. May Mitra bring us peace, and Varuna. May Aryaman be peace to us, and Indra with Brihaspati, and the wide-striding Vishnu. Reverence to the Absolute. Reverence to you, O Vayu, wind of life. You are the absolute reality we can touch and see right now. I will speak of you as this very reality. I will speak the fundamental order; I will speak the truth. May that reality protect the student; may it protect the teacher. Protect me, protect the teacher. Om, peace, peace, peace.
