इत्यपानः ।सुवरिति व्यानः ।मह इत्यन्न-म् ।अन्नेन वाव सर्वे प्राणा महीयन्ते ।तावा एताश्चतस्रश्चतुर्धा ।चतस्रश्चतस्रो व्या-हृतयः ।ता यो वेद ।स वेद ब्रह्म ।सर्वे-ऽस्मै देवा बलिमावहन्ति ॥ ३ ॥

Thus suvaḥ corresponds to vyāna, and mahaḥ to food; indeed, it is through food alone that all vital breaths are sustained and nourished. These four mystical utterances are structured in a fourfold harmony. Whoever truly knows them knows the absolute reality itself, and unto him all cosmic forces bring their offerings.
