Deathless, beyond fear, untouched by pain, pointed to by "not this" — that is why the Self is what I love. Whatever is other than this, whatever runs the opposite way, is caught up in action; so let it go.
Close to the Sanskrit
"Immortal, and fearless, not afflicted, indicated by 'not this'" — thus the Self is dear to me. Whatever is contrary, other than this — that is bound up with action; therefore one should abandon it.
