Just as the instrument, the object, the doer, the action and the result are all the intellect appearing within a dream, so too is the intellect seen in these forms in the waking state. Because all these are merely seen objects, the true Seer stands entirely apart from them.

In dream, the instrument, object, doer, action and result are the intellect. Since the intellect is seen in just this way in waking too, the seer is therefore other than it.
