For exactly that reason it is called all-knowing as well: by its own light it lights up everything there is. And on the same footing, the Self is called the doer of all — because every action has it for its cause.

For this very reason too it would be all-knowing, illuminating everything by its own light; and likewise the Self's being the doer of all is because it is the cause of all action.
