The love you send outward ends in pain, it does not last, and all along it was for the sake of the Self. Gather that love back into the Self — then, if truth is what you want, go to a teacher.

Because it ends in pain, because it is impermanent, and because it is for the sake of the Self — that love which is outward, having withdrawn it into the Self, the seeker of truth should resort to a teacher.
