Anyone who knows the supreme Brahman as something other than this is to be pitied. But the one who is sovereign in himself, who sees no second thing, who rests in his own being — the gods themselves are at his command.

Wretched are they who know the supreme Brahman otherwise than this; but he who is self-ruling, who sees no other, who abides in himself — for him the gods stand in his control.
