Vākyavṛttiḥ

Verse 16

अनात्मा यदि पिण्डोऽयमुक्तहेतुबलान्मतः ।करामलकवत्साक्षादात्मानं प्रतिपादय ॥ १४ ॥

In plain words

If your reasoning has settled it, and this body is not the Self — then show me the Self itself, directly, the way a fruit lies plain in the open palm.

If this body is held to be non-self on the strength of the reasons stated, then directly, as an āmalaka fruit in the hand, make the Self known.
