The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Vākyavṛttiḥ

Verse 19

In plain words

The whole bundle — body, senses, mind taken together — is not "I" either. Reason it through carefully and settle it: the Seer is of an altogether different order than anything seen.

Close to the Sanskrit

The aggregate too, likewise — 'not I' — thus; the Seer, distinct from the seen, ascertain skilfully by inference.
