Scripture describes ascending measures of happiness—from the fulfilled human being through human and celestial gandharvas, ancestors, gods, Indra, Bṛhaspati, Prajāpati and Hiraṇyagarbha. Yet all these graded joys are only foam upon the boundless ocean of Brahmānanda.
