Do the words coolness, fluidity and whiteness make water three different substances? Do light, heat and redness divide fire into three? In the same way, scripture negates the world's unreality, insentience and sorrow, and speaks of Brahman as Sat-Cit-Ānanda only so that the one Reality may be readily recognized.
