Turning away from degrading association and longing for liberating knowledge is Śubhecchā. Hearing the words of the good and studying the scriptures of knowledge is Vicāraṇā. As former cravings grow thin, the mind becomes Tanumānasi. Through the strength of these three, true knowledge dawns in the purified mind: this is Sattvāpatti.
