Just as one discovers, “It is not a snake but a rope,” or “not a man but a post,” so by the Guru's word and the light of scripture one sees: “I am not body, world or elements; I am Brahman, the unshaken Reality of pure Awareness.” This clear recognition is called rescission, apavāda.
