। ॥

In plain words

O Mother Kāmākṣī, your gentle smile resembles the milk ocean, and like it bears the beauty of coral in the lustre of your lips. But we tell the difference: long ago, they say, Śarva, the ancient Person, drank what rose from the one, which was poison; from the midst of the other he tastes an essence that is sweetness itself.

Word for word

Likeness of the pot-ocean bears since, Kāmākṣī, the gentle smile, the beauty with lip-lustre, Mother, coral-born, of this the difference we tell: from the one arisen formerly they say drank Śarva the ancient Person; this-midst-arisen tastes the sweetness-form essence.
