In plain words
O Śrī Kāmākṣī, beloved of the Lord of the world, we know the light of your gentle smile to be a new kind of lotus, for it always comes into full bloom at the sight of Paśupati's moon-face and grows drowsy only when that is absent, the reverse of every other lotus.
Word for word
We know, world-lord's beloved, your gentle-smile-light, Śrī Kāmākṣī, a lotus new, this since always at the face-moon's sight of Paśupati comes to full bloom, drowsy in its absence only shows the reverse order.
