Here, however, Consciousness qualified by remoteness and the rest, the meaning of Tat, and Consciousness qualified by immediacy and the rest, the meaning of Tvam, exclude difference from each other. If their qualifier-qualified relation, either one qualified by the other, or their identity is accepted as the sentence-meaning, it conflicts with Pratyakṣa and the other Pramāṇas; so that sentence-meaning does not stand.
