Unit 172

Tap any word for its meaning.

सति

In plain words

Accompanied by the reflection of Cit, that Vṛtti takes as its object the previously unknown supreme Brahman, non-different from the inward Ātma, and sublates only the Ajñāna concerning it. Then, just as cloth is burned when the threads that cause it are burned, when Ajñāna, the cause of all, is sublated, all its effects are sublated; the indivisible-form Citta-vṛtti included among them is also sublated.
