Prose-section 6
In plain words
Let the seeker approach a teacher who knows Brahman, is free of desire and abounds in compassion, and undertake Self-enquiry. Enquiry is the principal means by which the prepared seeker comes to knowledge. The right place and time, together with divine grace, support it.
Word for word
Therefore the seeker of liberation who wishes to know the reality of the Self should approach the excellent teacher, free of desire, a knower of Brahman and an ocean of compassion, and undertake enquiry into the Self itself. The qualified seeker attains knowledge principally through enquiry alone. Place, time and the Lord’s grace assist the attainment of knowledge.
