In plain words
Maintenance and dissolution. Not only in the state of creation is the universe the unfolding of his own power: so too are the two that follow upon it: "The outflow of his own powers" carries over. The maintenance of the universe made to appear by the power of action, whose form is its appearing as outward for some time in relation to this knower and that, and its dissolution, whose nature is resting in the knower made of consciousness: these two too are only the outflow of his own power. For each knowable, as it appears and as it dissolves, is nothing but the power of his own awareness; otherwise it could not be known by him. That is why the Kālikākrama says "Through the division into 'it is' and 'it is not' …" and so on, with reference to maintenance and dissolution. And again: "He who sees all as pure, without support, knowledge whose nature is awareness of itself, is liberated even while living, without doubt."
