In plain words

He, the hope of whose service has so great a greatness: Again and again, unresting, imagining the three worlds with hundreds of imaginings, He, beyond telling, one, free of vikalpa, triumphs, the Unborn. At every instant, by the sequence of joining and separating the appearances of these and those knowers and known things, ‘unresting’, that is, never ceasing: “So, even in worldly life, the Lord, entering the body and the rest, makes the flood of objects that shine within shine outside, by His will.” By the order of things set out in the Pratyabhijñā kārikā in this way, ‘imagining’, that is, ever making appear through the variety of the five acts, ‘the three worlds’, whose form is bhava, abhava and atibhava, resting in the roles of all knowers, the Rudras, the kṣetrajñas and the rest, ‘with hundreds of imaginings’, that is, with a thousand turns: even so, He who is that One whose ultimate reality is cit alone, prakāśa stainless and free, ‘the Unborn’, ‘triumphs’, that is, abides in excellence over all. And how is one joined with hundreds of imaginings ‘free of vikalpa’? That is the wonder. ‘Beyond telling, one’: that is, beyond the common.
