Mantra 4

In plain words

"Yājñavalkya," he said, "since all this is overtaken by day and night and beset by day and night, by what means is the sacrificer freed from the reach of day and night?" "By the Adhvaryu priest, by the eye, by the sun. For the eye is the Adhvaryu of the sacrifice; and what the eye is, that is the sun, and that is the Adhvaryu. That is release, that is complete release."

The commentators

Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣadbhāṣyam· bhāṣya

In plain words

'Release' — the same reasoning as before. Because once someone has become one with the sun itself, day and night simply stop applying to him.

Close to the Sanskrit

'Release' — as before; for, to one who has attained the state of having the sun as his self, day and night do not occur.
