In plain words

Then Kahola Kauṣītakeya asked him. "Yājñavalkya," he said, "explain to me that Brahman which is manifest and not hidden, the Self that is within all." "This is thy Self that is within all." "Which one, Yājñavalkya, is within all?" "That which passes beyond hunger and thirst, sorrow and delusion, old age and death. Having known this Self, brahmins rise above the desire for sons, the desire for wealth and the desire for worlds, and go about begging. For the desire for sons is the desire for wealth, and the desire for wealth is the desire for worlds; both of these are but desires. Therefore let a brahmin, having done with learning, wish to live as a child; and having done with childlikeness and with learning, let him be a silent sage; and having done with what is not silence and with silence, let him be a brahmin. And how does he live as such a brahmin? However he may live, he is such as he is. Anything other than this is subject to suffering." Thereupon Kahola Kauṣītakeya fell silent.
