In plain words
Then he sips it, saying: "That choicest light of Savitṛ. The winds blow honey for him who keeps the right; the rivers run honey; may the herbs be full of honey for us. Bhūḥ, svāhā. Let us meditate on the splendour of the god. Honeyed is the night and honeyed the dawns; honeyed is the earthly dust; may the sky, our father, be honey for us. Bhuvaḥ, svāhā. Who may awaken our intellects. Honeyed be the tree for us, honeyed the sun; may the cows be honey for us. Svaḥ, svāhā." He recites the whole Sāvitrī verse and all the honey verses, saying, "May I become all this. Bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ, svāhā." Then, having sipped water at the end and washed his hands, he lies down behind the fire with his head to the east. In the morning he worships the sun, saying, "Thou art the one lotus of the quarters; may I become the one lotus of men." Then, returning by the way he came, he sits behind the fire and recites the line of teachers.
