In plain words
Having divided himself fivefold, he is set down in the cave of the heart, made of mind, having breath for his body, of many forms, whose resolve is true — the Self. Abiding within the heart, and finding himself unfulfilled, he thought, "Let me enjoy objects." So, breaking through these openings, he rose up and with his five rays he consumes the objects — these organs of understanding are his rays; the organs of action are his horses; the body is his chariot; the mind is the driver, made of nature; and driven by his whip this body turns about like a wheel. And when a man is dead, this body is not set up as though possessed of consciousness, for he is its impeller.
