In plain words
And it is said elsewhere too: The Udgītha is the Praṇava, and the Praṇava is the Udgītha; and that sun yonder is the Udgītha, and is the Praṇava. So it is said: "The Udgītha, called the Praṇava, the leader, whose form is light, sleepless, ageless, deathless, three-footed, of three syllables, again to be known as fivefold, set down in the cave." So it is said: "Its root is above; three-footed Brahman is its branches — space, wind, fire, water, earth and the rest. It is the one whose name is the fig tree." This is Brahman, and this is its splendour, which is the sun yonder; and this belongs to the syllable Om. Therefore let a man worship it with Om unceasingly; for it alone is the awakener of him. So it is said: "This is the imperishable and holy, this is the imperishable and highest; and having known this imperishable, whatever a man desires is his."
