अहं वृक्षस्य रेरिवा कीर्तिः पृष्ठं गिरेरिव ।ऊर्ध्वपवित्रो वाजिनीवस्वमृतमस्मि ।द्रविणँसवर्चसम् ।सुमेधा अमृतोक्षितः ।इति त्रिशङ्कोर्वेदानुवचनम् ॥ १ ॥

I am the mover of the tree; my renown is like a mountain ridge. Pure and lofty, wealthy as the sun, I am the immortal. I am shining treasure, of good understanding, immortal, undecaying. So runs the Veda-recitation of Triśaṅku.
