In plain words
After the breath the gods breathe, and men and beasts as well; for breath is the life of beings, and therefore it is called the life of all. Their full span of life do they attain who worship breath as Brahman; for breath is the life of beings, and therefore it is called the life of all. This is the bodily self of the former one. Other than this self made of breath, and within it, is a self made of mind, by which the former is filled. That too has the shape of a person: after the shape of that one it has the shape of a person. Its head is the Yajus, its right side the Ṛc, its left side the Sāman, its trunk the injunction, and its tail, its foundation, the hymns of the Atharvans and Aṅgirases. On this too there is a verse.
