In plain words
There are people who feel the fear of death right down in the bone. They run to the deathless one — in whom there is no dying and no being born — and they take His feet as a fort. And in the running, something quiet happens. They die. Not later: then. The one who was afraid goes, and everything it was holding goes with it. So ask them now whether they are frightened of dying.

Those people in whom the fear of death abounds resort, as a fortress, to the feet alone of the great Lord who is without death and birth. Together with their attachments they themselves underwent death. Will the deathless, the eternal ones, resort to the thought of death? Joined with sight —
