Gītā Vāhini

In plain words

This holy Gītā came forth directly from the lotus mouth of Kṛṣṇa Paramātma himself. Were it not so, many crores of people would not take refuge in it. Whatever subject the Gītā teaches in its opening and in its close must be the main subject of the śāstra. In the first śloka of the first chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā we find the words “On the field of Dharma, on Kurukṣetra...”. There the word Dharma is the very first word used. At the very end of the eighteenth chapter, in the śloka “Where Kṛṣṇa, the Lord of yoga, is...”, this same word Dharma is taught in condensed form. So the intent of the Gītā stands clear, and it is this: “Remember Dharma, practise Dharma.” See how profound the word “Dharma” is!
