In plain words

In that case: by taking up the practice of yoga, the actions that win this world and the next have already been let go — and right seeing, the fruit of perfected yoga and the very means to liberation, has not yet been reached. And the yogī, at the hour of death, is one whose mind has slipped from the path of yoga. Fearing ruin for such a man, Arjuna said —

Someone without effort—lacking diligence—on the path of yoga, yet endowed with faith and a believing mind; and whose mind, at the moment of death, wavers, his recollection slipping away—such a person, never having reached yoga's perfection, its true fruit, right vision—what destiny does he go to, Kṛṣṇa?

Close to the Sanskrit

There, by the taking-up of the practice of yoga, the actions which are the cause of attaining this world and the next have been renounced; and right seeing, which is the fruit of yoga's perfection and the means to liberation, has not been attained — thus; the yogī, at the time of death, is one whose mind has strayed from the path of yoga — thus; apprehending his ruin, Arjuna said —

‘One without effort’—i.e. without diligence—on the path of yoga, endowed with faith and a believing intellect; and, at the time of death, his mental faculty, mind, having wavered, of whom it is so, he is ‘one whose mind has wavered,’ i.e. whose recollection has slipped away—he, not having attained the perfection of yoga—i.e. the fruit of yoga, right vision—what destiny, O Kṛṣṇa, does he go to?
