The commentators
Bhagavadgītābhāṣyam· bhāṣya
In plain words
You are able to tell me all of this completely, because these manifestations of your own Self are divine indeed. Please tell me those very glories of yours, whatever they are — the vast expanses of your own greatness — by which you pervade and abide within these worlds.
Close to the Sanskrit
You are able, worthy, to tell completely, for divine, indeed, are the Self's own manifestations. The manifestations of the Self which there are — those you are able to tell. By which manifestations, the expanses of the Self's own greatness, you, having pervaded these worlds, abide.
Gītā Vāhini
In plain words
“Then how is it that You take on Your forms, full of power, in this world? That is, tell me all the forms in which You pervade this universe, and make my birth fruitful; and if You will also tell me in what form I should meditate on You, I shall meditate on You so, Kṛṣṇa!” he entreated.
