The divine qualities lead toward liberation; the asuric are regarded as leading to certain bondage. Do not grieve, Pandava—you are born for the divine qualities.

In plain words
What these two endowments lead to is now stated —
The divine endowment, whichever it is, exists for liberation, freedom from the bondage of saṃsāra. The demonic endowment exists for bondage, for a fixed, tied-down state, and that is exactly what it is meant, understood, to lead to. And so does the fiendish endowment. Now, once this had been said, the Lord noticed the unspoken thought stirring in Arjuna's mind: 'Am I one with the demonic endowment? Or am I one with the divine?' Seeing this quiet worry, the Lord speaks: 'Do not grieve, do not fall into sorrow. You were born to the divine endowment, born marked out for exactly this, you are one for whom good things lie ahead,' that is the meaning, Pāṇḍava.

Of these two endowments, the effect is stated —
The divine endowment which there is, that is for liberation, from the bondage of saṃsāra. For bondage, fixed bondage, for that purpose the demonic endowment is regarded, intended. So too the fiendish. There, this having been said, having perceived Arjuna's inward state, in the form of a reflection: 'Am I endowed with the demonic endowment? Or am I endowed with the divine endowment?' the Lord says: 'do not grieve, do not indulge in sorrow.' You are born to the divine endowment, you are born marked out for it, you are one of good fortune to come; that is the meaning, O Pāṇḍava. || 5 ||
