In plain words

Desire for the fruit brings unrest. Perhaps people wonder, "If we give up the fruit itself, how are we to live?" Why such weakness? He who said, "I carry yoga and kṣema," will himself look after it. Is the joy of life the chief thing? Or is the Ānanda of Mokṣa the chief thing? "The joy of life is petty; the Ānanda of Mokṣa is eternal and secure!" On this matter many commentators have written, each according to the skill of his own intellect. Most of them explain desire for the fruit to mean: "Man has no right to desire the fruit."
