At that Arjuna took it up: “Nandakumāra! Why can you not bring about such a sacred and highest state for everyone in the world? Do you not declare yourself that you are Prema-svarūpa and full of compassion? Then why, in one such as you, this partiality? Will you say there is no partiality! To give this state only to the jñānis and not to the ajñānis: what is that, if not partiality? It is the ajñānis who should be cherished. It is to the ajñānis, who have no steadiness in anything and sway to and fro like the pendulum of a clock, that you must give this state, and with care. The jñānis know everything; they have known that ‘The whole world is filled with Viṣṇu’; you need not tell them over and over, surely! They have no concern with anything, surely!”
