Passage 11

In plain words

How so? When travellers are journeying in a bus, a train or a boat, the trees and hillocks on the bank, though they do not move, appear and seem to be travelling, and those who are travelling seem to be standing still. Because of the movement of the chariot, one superimposes the act of motion on the trees and hillocks. In the same way, the deluded one without the saṃskāra of the śāstras superimposes on the imperishable Ātma the karma of the body, the senses and the rest. To gain the experience that the Ātma is a non-doer is true akarma; it is not valid to take it as akarma merely because karmas are given up in outward dealings. No one can remain without performing karmas outwardly. This is not possible.”
