In plain words
When we reached Delhi on the 25th, the people's enthusiasm was so intense that it took half an hour just to come down from the plane.
In Delhi, without a break of even a single minute, I was wholly absorbed in the work of giving Ānanda to lakhs of people. Bhajans went on night and day. All that time I gave darśan to the devotees, gave My blessings to the sick who had come with them, and made them content.
From morning until twelve at night the roads were packed so full of people that sand thrown over them would not have reached the ground. And yet even after twelve o'clock, fresh crowds.... coming in countless buses from towns such as Jalandhar, Meerut, Patiala and Agra, and one single cry, raised in anguish: “Sai Baba! Darśan dēv....” All the roads were filled with cars and buses. So unless I saw them, gave them darśan and came back, the crowds standing behind them had no room to come forward! And so I had to come out from inside again and again and make them happy.
