In plain words

All religions become good, bad and the rest according to the mind of man. The supreme purpose of religions is precisely to correct the mind and set it right. Religions may look different from one another, each following place, time and circumstance, each resting on the guṇas and karmas of its own people and built on the differences among those who receive it; yet all religions grant purity of citta, teach oneness, and show the path that wins the direct vision of the Paramātma who dwells in the heart. To follow that path, to practise it and to rejoice in it: that alone is the duty of human beings and the fulfilment of their birth.

Jesus Christ founded such a religion through preaching and teaching that took the shape of practice; not to keep His birthday as a Holiday, a festival of feasting and amusement, but to take His divine sayings and His sublime good counsel so deeply that they cling to the heart: that alone is the best way.

Today the whole world finds its great satisfaction only in empty words, only in devices of one kind or another. It finds its joy only in pomp and show. For the ideals the great souls have given, indifference!
