In plain words

In the same way, if the feelings in the world family, made up of so many countries, fall apart, the property called the grace of God will soon be lost.

If a hand is cut off from the body, it bleeds, and that limb too wastes away and becomes useless. Through separation, not only is the grace lost; there is also the chance that the part cut away will go to ruin. If the whole universe is to be well and safe, the blood of grace must move in the same way through all countries, all regions, all societies and all individuals.

For a tree to grow and become big, earth, air and rain are all essential. But the seed, and the seed alone, must without fail be its chief support. So too, for the jīva, karma, good feeling and merit are supports; even so, is not the seed called the Ātma the chief of them all? People of different lands and different faiths may behave in different ways, with different forms and different feelings. But the seed is one! Some trees may grow starved of water, some sturdy, some short, some tall, according to the air, the earth and the rain; but in the form of the seed they are all one.
