Passage 6

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Without that, reviling others is only base, and not good. From daybreak until you lie down, make your life full of Prema. Full of Prema means full of the Paramātma, and nothing else.

It is of no use to experience purity and Śānti while you sit in dhyāna, and then turn into Durvāsas somewhere else. That is not the mark of Bhakti. What is the fruit of dhyāna? ‘Satataṃ yoginaḥ’, the Gītā teaches. “Sarvadā sarvakāleṣu sarvatra hari cintanaṃ” is the teaching of the ṛṣis. From today on, strive to keep up japa of the Name and dhyāna on the Form without a break. “Śraddhāvān labhate jñānaṃ”: if you come by a spark of fire no bigger than an atom, by śraddhā you can make it grow far greater. But the man without śraddhā, even if he comes by a blazing fire, puts it out! When faith in the goal is firm, śraddhā grows strong with ease. Increase faith in God and faith in the Ātma through satsaṅga, through the good counsel of elders and through study of the śāstras, and so be saved.
