Passage 4

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

With the grace of God, people can ward off the hardships and losses that come to each of them according to their own prārabdha. There is no doubt whatever about this. Those who ask, “Why should Sai Baba not keep such disasters from coming?”—ask them why the Gods without form and with form whom they worship and follow did not prevent them. All of them are natural to Prakṛti. Doubts like these are meaningless. To answer that is a waste.

As for you, whatever anyone says, though they abuse you or hate you, you must look on them with the eye of Prema, speak to them softly and sweetly, and conduct yourselves calmly. Pray every day, “Lokās samastās sukhino bhavantu.” You must not show anger or resentment in the least. If anyone criticises anything out of Ajñāna or envy, believe that they will come to know the truth by themselves and will be set right some day. Be firmly convinced that everyone is our very own.
