In plain words
So these eyes cannot see anything else. Always that soft and sweet Name of Kṛṣṇa is dancing on our tongue. So this tongue cannot utter another word. Our hearts are full of the sweetest Prema of Kṛṣṇa. So these gopikās, whose whole heart is sunk in Your sweet music, in sweet Prema, in sweet songs of praise, in sweet listening, have no need of another yoga, she said. The moment he heard these words, Uddhava was filled with joy. He thought within himself, "This principle of God is not gained through learning, through scholarship or through cleverness." He made up his mind that it is possible to attain it only through Prema for God. Recognising these feelings within himself, he praised the Bhakti and devotion of these gopikās greatly.
This Uddhava put another question. You are questioning the flowers. You are inquiring of the plants. You are searching through all the bushes. "In what way do you hope to have this bond and kinship with Kṛṣṇa?" he asks. The universe itself is the form of God. Hills, forests, trees, all of these are God's own shapes. By God's own resolve, "Ekohaṃ bahusyāṃ", everything came forth. "In every such object and in every atom we must attain our Paramātma": this was the longing the gopikās kept voicing. In such a principle, in this experiencing of God, they longed to attain oneness.
If You are flourishing on the tree, I shall become a creeper and twine about You; if You are making Your home on the flower, I shall become a bee and hover about You; if You are the endless sky, I shall play there as a little star; if You are the full ocean, I shall become a river and merge in You; if You are the grand earth of Mount Meru, I shall become a stream and play about You.
Somehow we must merge with Kṛṣṇa. To be joined with Kṛṣṇa is itself our immortality.
