In plain words
Embodiments of Prema! You must not be pained in the least that Swami is speaking so sternly. Truly, the one who tells us the faults in us is the true guru. The one who covers up our faults is the great traitor. So you must regard it as for our good. We must put away all faults. From now on at least, we must become people with minds free of faults. This service is very noble. The plan that has been laid down is entirely sound. Those who have to carry it out must carry it out well. Who is the chief in this? All are its support. Only when there is a certain union among all will it go in the right way. The World Council members, the State Presidents, State convenors, district Presidents, district convenors, the Seva Dal members, the Seva Samiti members, the Bhajan Mandali members: all must become one. Only when we work with this unity shall we receive the result we intended. If you take away this cooperation and perform an operation, that is the end of our work. We can do nothing at all. So from today, all of you, in unity, each following his own feeling and his own strength, with no lack of strength and no weakness, must bring it into this society. This is the true sādhana.
Give them all up: japa, sādhana, yāga, yajña. Take part in service. Among the nine kinds of paths, service is very noble. So by this very spirit of service we become worthy to receive the grace of God. Without doing service, we must not waste time merely with words of a kind or with talks. Only when one who does service gives a talk does it touch the heart well. If you do no service and are like a hero in your talk, by this it becomes a zero. So we must make ourselves blessed. If we think, "I must cross over; I must live a right life; I must become an ideal human being," we must take part in service that is selfless, pure and free of Ahaṅkāra.
Every day we must make self-examination. "Within the responsibility given to me, within the place where I stand, am I doing my work rightly or not?": so one must satisfy oneself. If one has no satisfaction oneself, how can one satisfy others? So self satisfaction is most necessary. Before self satisfaction there must be self confidence, confidence in oneself. Only when you make sacrifice does self realisation come within reach.
