In plain words

Truly, you must regard this as a sādhana. If you experience this one path well, God's grace will surely come to you. You need not do any other japa, dhyāna or yoga at all. If you carry out your duty on the path of developing children, this itself is great service. It is only through what you earned over many births that this sacred chance has come to you in this life. You must make a fitting effort to hold on to this good fortune that has come to you and nurture it. Then alone will our having become teachers have its fitting fulfilment. Now and then you must give the children some bhajans and some sacred stories. We must not teach them that one religion and another hold different feelings. We must teach them togetherness, as all children of God. Above all, there is one thing that our teachers and the people in the Sai Organisations must learn. We must foster unity. All must join in unity and enter this work like sisters and brothers. Even if some small differences arise, we must not take them to heart at all. We must forget them then and there, and go on mixing and talking with them in every way. We must not create an atmosphere which starts with these small matters and in the very end makes a vow of it, so that we quarrel with one another and fall into unrest. We must not foster stubbornness. One must rebuke oneself: ‘This is no true worthiness for me.’ In this, no groups must form among our Teachers or among the students. All are one. The five fingers look separate to us, but when they set about some task, all five join and work as one. In the same way all, trusting as children of God, must go on carrying out in unity each one's fitting duty. Hatreds of a personal kind, hatreds connected with society, hatreds of language and dress must not enter us at all. When hatred enters us, impurity sets in.

If we are to drive this impurity away, unity is urgently needed. Only when there is unity does purity grow in us. If there is not this unity, enmity comes in. When this purity comes, then divinity is attained by us. So all must go on working in unity. To foster this unity is what is most needed.
